About Me..
Hello, my name is Sarah Jones and I am a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Chartered Psychologist. I am also a wife and a mum of three young children.
I have trained in Psychology (BSc), Police Studies (MA) Forensic Psychology (MSc) and Clinical Hypnotherapy (Dip Hyp). I became a Chartered Psychologist in 2000. I worked for H M Prison Service for 12 years, carrying out assessments and delivering therapy sessions to groups of men in prison to encourage them to live a more law-abiding life on release.
As a Hypnotherapist and Chartered Psychologist I have been working with people who have issues that they would like to change for 15 years and it is something that I find very satisfying and enjoyable.
I use a variety of therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT - thoughts, feelings and behaviours are interlinked and patterns can be recognised and changed); Psychoanalytical Therapy (delving into the past and re-processing what we find) and Client Based Therapy (listening and understanding, allowing the client personal time to understand what he or she has experienced). I have trained with EMDR Europe Trainers in Eye Movement De-sensitisation and Re-Processing (EMDR), which can be used to process trauma and Integrated EMDR (IEMDR) which is used with headaches and migraines. A variety of other techniques can be used, both in and out of the hypnotic state, where necessary, with the clients' knowledge and consent to reach the agreed goal of the therapy.
